Francesca Caltabiano

A graduate of Fashion Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Francesca Caltabiano has always been interested in minerals, jewels, film and fashion. In 1991 she earned her diploma from the Gemological Institute of America where she worked for several years as a gemologist. The influence of New York in the nineties had a profound influence on her creative development.
On her return to Italy she began working with some of the most prestigious jewelry firms. Francesca finds inspiration on her frequent travels, constantly seeking out new forms, ideas and trends which are then reflected in her jewelry collections. Today Francesca's collections are displayed and created in a shop situated in the very heart of the historic center of Florence.
Her collections have been showcased at the following events: the "Fuori Salone del Mobile" in Milan, the "Mostra dell'Artigianato", the "Vintage Selection" exposition in Florence, and Glamroom in Vicenza.


Jewelry and accessories

Just like in a fashion house, Francesca's creations, combining the past and the future, are divided between the High Fashion and the prêt à porter collections.
REPECHAGE is the Haute Couture collection of unique pieces dedicated to women, to their tastes and their memories. The jewels - an amusing interplay of "recycled" old and modern pieces - are conceived as exclusive one-of-a-kind creations which cannot be repeated.
Another High Fashion line is the DRAGO MAGO collection where ideas, concepts, abstractions and wizardry find tangible form in gold, silver and pearls.
RIVE GAUCHE, PICCOLINIS, CUPIDI, VOLANTI, HOMOLOGY, RANASCIMENTO and PRINCICESCA make up the prêt à porter line: pearls, enamel, cameos, engraved silver, coins, chains, metals all go into the creation of playful jewelry to be worn with wit and elegance.
